Achieving Product-Market Fit: Lessons from Nest Labs

By March 28, 2014Exec Briefing

Nest is a three year old startup based in Palo Alto and founded by two ex-Apple alums. Their brainstorm started, as many do, with a personal frustration.  They noted how inane most thermostats are as devices to ensure home comfort and decided to re-invent thermostats by creating a self-learning thermostat, an idea that not so coincidentally fit with the primary themes coming out of CES 2014 — sensors and connectivity.

This briefing, shared by Chasm Group, is an overview of Nest’s winning three-pronged market development strategy used to sell one million thermostat units.
