New executives announced at the White House, BackOffice, Passkey, Yahoo and other software companies

BackOffice Associates, a Cape Cod, MA provider of data governance and migration solutions for SAP, Oracle, and other ERP vendors, named David Booth President and CEO. The move follows GS Capital Partners’ May 2011 growth equity investment in the firm. Booth’s 27-year tech career includes President of Global Sales and Marketing at Computer Science Corp (CSC), Hewlett-Packard’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Americas Technology Solutions Group, President of Compaq Canada and Digital Equipment’s Regional Vice President and General Manager.
The White House named Steven VanRoekel the next CIO for the U.S. federal government. A former Microsoft exec, he joined the Obama Administration in 2009 as Managing Director of the FCC. The government is shifting to cloud computing to reduce costs and become more nimble and is closing 800 of its 2,000 data centers.
Jaspersoft, a San Francisco, CA provider of business intelligence software, named Matthew Geise its new Senior Director of Community Development. He will be responsible for driving the expansion and value of the Jaspersoft open source community. In his prior roles within Jaspersoft, Geise managed the Global Customer Support Organization as well as an on-demand implementation of Jaspersoft’s technology, focused on delivering BI capabilities to Salesforce.com customers. His career began at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where he worked in the government industry developing mission critical systems. He served as a Java engineer and architect for several startups including NPO Online and AtomShockwave, and as Director of Technology Services for TradeBeam (now part of CDC Software).
Yahoo VP and Chief Cloud Architect Todd Papaioannou resigned to join venture capital and growth equity firm Battery Ventures as an entrepreneur in residence, where he will help investors identify disruptive technologies. Earlier in his career, he held several senior positions at Teradata.
Nylte Software named Stephen Tsuchiyama VP and General Manager of Americas. He was formerly VP of Worldwide Sales at AccelOps.

Arise Virtual Solutions, a Miramar, FL provider of virtual business solutions, named John A. Meyer Chief Executive Officer He was formerly Chief Executive Officer and President at Acxiom.
BlueKai, a Cupertino, CA developer of a data management, analysis and acquisition platform, named Jon Ingalls Chief Marketing Officer. He was formerly the Founder of TrackSimple. BlueKai also named Sam Wolff CFO. He was formerly Vice President of Finance at Yahoo.
Clairmail, a San Rafael, CA provider of mobile banking and payment solutions, named Kaj van de Loo Vice President of Engineering. He was formerly Senior Vice President of Technology Strategy at SAP.
Passkey, a Waltham, MA provider of travel and meeting planning SaaS, named Ayikudy Srikanth Chief Technology Officer. He was formerly President and Co-Founder of Acealine.
Sage Software, an Irvine, CA supplier of business management software and related products and services, named Nancy Harris Vice President and General Manager of Sage Simply Accounting. She was formerly COO at ESO Solutions.
Scanbuy, a New York, NY provider of mobile barcode solutions, named Wayne Silverman Chief Revenue Officer and Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. He was formerly Vice President and Group Publisher at CBS Interactive and CNET Networks.
Violin Memory, a Mountain View, CA provider of flash memory solutions, named Jonathan Goldick Chief Technical Officer for Software. He was formerly Chief Technology Officer at OnStor.
