New executives announced at Cloud.com, JDA Software, Jive Software and other software companies

Cloud.com, a Cupertino, CA open source firm, named Christian Reilly Vice President of Enterprise Solutions. He was formerly the manager of the global systems engineering team at Bechtel where he built one of the largest private cloud infrastructures to date. He will be responsible for increasing visibility of CloudStack (Cloud.com’s IaaS cloud software platform) and helping enterprises transition to the cloud. Reilly was named one of the Top 10 Cloud Computing Leaders of 2011 by SearchCloudCompputing.com.
JDA Software Group named David Gai Vice President of Services, responsible for JDA’s global services organization, including professional services (which entails implementation, education and strategic services), managed services and support. Gai has a strong background with global organizations, strategic development, executive leadership and customer-focused initiatives. He was formerly Vice President Worldwide Services for the Content Management and Archival Division at EMC. Earlier he was EVP of worldwide services at BEA Systems.
MaxID, a Reston, VA provider of mobile identity and access solutions, named Bob Irwin as Chief Executive Officer. He was formerly the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sterling Commerce, an IBM company, where he was responsible for driving company vision, growth, and profitability.
Likewise, a Bellevue, Wash provider of a platform for identity, security and storage, named Gerald (Jerry) Carter as Chief Technology Officer. He has been such a vocal advocate of the open source community and has been developing, writing about, and teaching on open source since the late 1990s at events such as LISA, LinuxWorld Expo, SANE, SambaXP, OSCON, and the SNIA SDC. He was a member of the Samba core development team from 1998-2009. Carter held previous positions at HP and VA Linux systems and completed a term on the Usenix Association’s Board of Directors. He replaces retiring CTO Manny Vellon who remains as a Likewise Technical Fellow.

Jive Software, a Palo Alto, CA provider of enterprise collaboration, communication and social networking software, named John F. Rizzo Chief Marketing Officer. He was formerly President and Chief Executive Officer at Zeebo.
StumbleUpon, a San Francisco, CA provider of a discovery engine for Web and mobile content, named Japijit Tulsi Vice President of Engineering. He was formerly Director of Engineering at Google.
TASC, a Chantilly, VA provider of advanced systems engineering, integration and decision support services, named Dale Luddeke Chief Growth Officer. He was formerly Executive Vice President of Corporate Business Development at CACI International.
Vordel, a Boston, MA provider of gateways for SOA and cloud computing, named Dick Agin Regional Sales Director for US Central. He was formerly Global Account Manager at Salesforce.com.
