By April 29, 2012Events

Location: Hynes Convention Center, Boston, MA
Mobile Connect 2012 is the first event to address the strategic direction that will define enterprise IT for the next decade – building and managing information systems that run on a mobile platform. Mobile Connect will bring together enterprise mobility thought leaders to discuss the innovations in mobile, and how forward-thinking companies are getting the technology to work for them, providing unprecedented business value. Mobile Connect is co-located with the Enterprise 2.0 Boston conference From a technology perspective, Mobile Connect explores the latest developments in wireless networks (both local- and wide-area), mobile computing (from handsets to notebooks to tablets), and key technology issues in increasing the adoption of mobile as a primary IT vehicle. We’ll also look at how advances in the Cloud are intersecting with mobile to create new services.
The applications track includes not just core application directions (Web, cloud and local), but also software development strategies, application distribution, and the new and critical requirements imposed by a BYOD/employee-liable operational model. This track will also cover strategies to help business leaders define which processes and applications should be mobilized first, as well as assist IT leaders with understanding the trade-offs between the various development strategies.
Within management, the conference will cover such topics as business ramifications, technology and personnel management, and operational elements including mobile device management, cost control, and security.
