SPEAKER: Robert Swan, OBE – Founder, 2041 Foundation; “First person to ever have walked the South & North Poles”
Raised in Yorkshire, England, Robert Swan is the first person in history to walk to both the North and South Poles. After seeing first hand the effects of Climate Change, Robert has dedicated himself to protecting Antarctica and our planet at large. Positive participation and a committed team have enabled Robert to educate and stimulate people across the globe. 
 
His contribution to education and the environment have been recognized through his appointment as UN Goodwill Ambassador for Youth, a Visiting Professorship of the School of Environment at Leeds University and in 1994 Robert became Special Envoy to the Director General of UNESCO.

SPEAKER: Roberta Bowman – Chief Brand and Communications Officer, LPGA (former Chief Sustainability Officer, Duke Energy)

Roberta Bowman joined LPGA’s executive leadership team after serving on their Board of Directors for six years. Bowman currently oversees communications, public relations, television, website/digital, social media, branding, marketing and the LPGA’s creative department. 
 
Bowman is a longtime communications and sustainability executive who spent most of her business career at Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC. She joined the multinational energy company in 1986 and worked there for over 25 years before retiring in January 2012 as Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer. In that role, she served on the company’s Management Committee and led Duke Energy’s integrated response to environmental risks and opportunities. Roberta also serves on the Board of Directors of Blue Cross NC, Echo Health Ventures and UPL, Ltd.
