Enterprise 2005
Thank you for joining us at the eighth annual, invitation-only conference for software industry leaders.
We are all too aware of the seismic shifts that are reshaping our industry. Software as a service, Open source, Offshoring, Services-oriented architecture. These business models and technology changes are occurring amid a dramatic wave of vendor consolidation and buyer reticence.
In a time of transition, it can be easy to become mired in the complexities of change. For the next two days, we’d like to propose a break from the business of “transition” and a focus on the end game, “New Opportunities.”
New ideas have always driven the software industry. Now that we have new business models and technologies to contend with as well, we can envision a new future for software.
- What will the enterprise software ecosystem look like?
- What are the “next big thing” product trends?
- How do we leverage current market shifts for a business advantage?
- Where are the smart VCs and investment bankers placing their bets?
- What will enterprise buyers want from software vendors?
Our colleagues and peers will present many new opinions and ideas on the Enterprise 2005 stage. In addition, to keynotes and panels, we have introduced a new “CEO Perspective” session where several CEOs will make 15 minute presentations on top-of-mind issues which will then be discussed in an interactive Q&A mode.
Enterprise 2005 returns to Pebble Beach after a few years on the road. Although its location has changed over the years the event’s objectives have remained constant: Candidly discuss industry issues, hear CEOs present and debate ideas, share opinions with key industry influencers, network with peers in an informal setting – and have fun.
We want to recognize and thank our loyal advisors – Ken Berryman (McKinsey & Co), Erik Keller (Wapiti) and Bruce Richardson (AMR Research) for their long standing support of the Enterprise conference.
Finally, we want to thank you for your contribution to our charitable causes. Your participation enables the SHG Foundation to support a variety of smart, independent organizations whose aim is to improve the world we share.
Once again, welcome to Enterprise 2005.
